About Our Principal
"Students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."
Michael Wilson, Principal
Michael Wilson is a product of the New York City public school system, and the City University of New York; a graduate of Midwood High School, Hunter College,
and Brooklyn College. He's been a part of the New York City Department of Education for the past nineteen years. His career began as a teacher at Louis D. Brandeis High School. Followed by the last twelve years in which he worked as an Assistant Principal supporting students and their achievement in high need Title I schools; Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and the High School for Environmental Studies.
“To whom much is given, much is expected”— this quote is dear to Principal Wilson's heart because his experience as an immigrant student in the New York City public school system was very rewarding. He is a passionate and effective High School instructional leader today because of the quality education he received in the New York City Public Schools. His experience affirms the power of education to transform the life of a child regardless of his or her race, ethnic or socioeconomic background. He firmly believes that every student attending Hudson High School of Learning Technologies deserves an equal opportunity to access the resources and rigor in the classroom that will help them to experience success in their lives now and in their future. He is committed and feels a moral and professional responsibility to give back to a system that has given me so much.
